Big star, huge humility
The concert was amazing. Josh, an amazing performer, enjoyed as much as any of us in the crowd. He sang all of his hits way back when and was amazed each time the crowd sang along, word for word. It blew me away. He's never seen someone that big and humble after so many years. The sound was phenomenal, and the stage was amazing. However, the logistics severely lacked. Parking, shuttles, the walk to the venue...a complete nightmare. This venue just wasn't equipped for crowds of this size. I believe approximately 20,000 people were at each performance. Some people parked 4 miles away, some 2.5. There were shuttles, tour busses even, but not nearly enough of them. I waited a good hour and a half in line for a shuttle back to my car after the concert. I know the staff was doing their absolute best to accommodate everyone, but there just weren't enough shuttles. They did have sufficient parking for everyone, but so many people walked down the side of the two-lane road with all the traffic just because they were tired of waiting in line for a shuttle. People were walking across a six-lane highway just to get back to their cars in less than 2 hours. I was genuinely concerned for people's safety, and I know many, many people were highly frustrated. None of this is Josh's fault. Or TicketMaster's. Regardless, it was a bit of a nightmare.
